About Charlie
My name is Charlie Griefer. I'm a 30 40-something year old father of three and husband of one.
I currently live in the East Bay area, about 40 miles east of San Francisco. In the past, I've lived in New Jersey (born and raised), Arizona, Florida, and Southern California. Apparently, I'm looking for something. I don't know what it is, but I'm hoping I'll recognize it when I find it. If you have it, or know what it is, please drop me a line. My wife will be eternally grateful.
Since 1996, I've made my living as a Web Developer specializing in Allaire Macromedia Adobe's ColdFusion.
I'm a big fan of the Model-Glue framework, and have worked with Fusebox and ColdBox as well. I've enjoyed writing JavaScript for a number of years, and finally took a look at the jQuery JavaScript
library. I should have done that a lot sooner.
I enjoy being an active part of the ColdFusion community. In addition to contributing to various mailing lists and forums, I've written numerous tutorials (many posted at EasyCFM.com), articles for Packt Publishing Online and Fusion Authority, and I am credited as Staff Writer for the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update magazine. Additionally, I am the manager of the East Bay ColdFusion Users Group, and an Adobe Community Professional.
